1/24 – 6/24

In all my days of recent years, I’ve never experienced love without fears.
It was always some little flaw or denial of pride, but you broke through like an inevitable tide.
You washed a conscience clean, lowered my wall; Made an ego of ten feet into a foot tall.

No longer quick to anger but calmly stay, my world is of colors since you’ve defeated the grey.
You led me to a kinder self, showed a goal. Given me a beautiful heart, replacing the black coal.
In all my days of future years, I’ll remember what you’ve given;  smiles, memories, tears.
